I thought it was wierd when I first saw it. You DON'T actually have to run a "real" race Axel. You just choose your distance, your route, and then tell them what you ran. Look at their page on here and it explains it. I thought ti wierd but maybe if I see more people here doing it, I may do it.

Nike did something similar to this and it was a lot of fun.  There were areas worldwide where you could participate in a 10k and/or you could do a 10k wherever you wanted and upload it from your Nike + to their website.  They had t-shirts, too.  I'm going to check it out, thanks for the info.

Robin, are you talking about the Nike run?  If so it was in August but I am pretty sure they will make it a monthly thing.  I know they have something posted for a Nike half marathon...not sure if you can do it the same way with the Nike +.  Try out nikerunning.com or go to the nike website and navigate from there

Hi there! I signed up for World Run Day yesterday!! I think it sounds like a cool event! It is simply a way to get people out and running, in any city, on any track, for any amount of time. What a neat idea!

Hi Robin!  Yes I am doing this run. Signed up for it about 2 or 3 weeks ago, I used to run just for fun (never in a club or anything before) and am just getting back into running (3 months now) so I decided to run 5Ks to keep me motivated, I did my first one in August @ 29:51 and just completed another this past Sat oct 11 (check out heathershope.net) for a memorial run and did 26:43, its all in fun and good spirit. As they say in running "you are the only  person you have to beat!"
