Christine, you remind me of myself last year (which is slightly scary) I was literally jumping up and down throughout the marathon (my first). My daughter was so annoyed (she ran with me) that afterwards she kept complaining to everyone, Mom was getting more and more excited with every mile, she kept skipping!

Actually I was at Mile 25 when I heard my husband yell my name and I turned around and saw him and two of my kids. And he took this picture:

That's how you're oging to feel at Mile 25! Good luck!

That's what I meant about how you looked on the bridge.  Like you didn't realize that you had run 20 miles and you were supposed to look tired.

On the other hand... you do have 26.2+ miles to catch me.  Good luck with that.

    Excuse me.  I meant 41 v. 46.  You're not helping your case.

    I didn't really have a case. I just wanted you to know I wasn't 42.

By the way... I think you might BQ on Sunday.  Seriously.  If the weather holds out and your potty breaks are kept to a minimum (read: none), I think you can do it!

Well, THAT isn't going to happen   But thanks for the vote of confidence.  Sorry, but hills kick my arse.  Ask Kevyn.  Houston is nice and FLAT!

Have you seen Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?  Some of those questions are hard!  As for picking on Jay I think I could take him if I hadn't already ran 150 or so miles!  LOL  See I have an excuse!

Never underestimate the advantage that hills provide!  It gives your muscles a chance to do "something else" instead of the same monotonous rhythm.  CMM is STILL my PR (although flat Chicago should have been even with the heat....)

I'm looking forward to the hills early at MCM.  Use the downhill to your advantage and pace the uphill intelligently and you'll end up with a net gain in speed.

It also helps, the fact that Jay isn't running this one

Okay, I hate to admit it, but CMM is my PR also, even though I found it extremely difficult and thought about DNF'ing at mile 11.  Hmmm...

Which part is it you hate to admit?  Me possibly being right?

My 2 fastest races have been on relatively flat courses but my slowest was ran on an extremely fast course.  CMM is my favorite course though.  MCM is my favorite race and Richmond would win an honorable mention in both categories!  And Jerry you are right, your not 42.  That is all the credit I am giving you.

I will be greatful if I can run a 3:52 right beside Jerry the whole way.  This would be tough for me I think but I will comment more on that Sunday morning.
