Heh. DH just started with a new company a few weeks ago so I felt compelled to go pretty un-daring for their shindig. It's like this, but the fabric is actually an awesome rib:

And WW, I have a rather similar dress to the last one you posted (but it's a colorblock rather than swirly) and I love it. I recommend you buy it.

Re: holiday dresses
I am a big fan of floaty chiffon dresses. I like Calikay's choice, like the green one best. Wouldn't wear it, though. I am not a fan of exposed shoulders/upper arms for evening when one is over 50. I don't care how toned one is. You look like some pathetic aging once-leading-lady movie star.

Re: holiday dresses
It's okay but drab if you ask me. You can do better! How about some color and sparkle? It can still look taseful and classy. And stay away from black. Everyone wears black. If you want to go dark, choose any color other than black, please. If you want to go light in color, go so light that there's a hint of color but not quite white or beige either.

If you get cold, there are those really cute short sweaters that look great with dresses or outfits and don't forget to complete the look with pretty shoes and handbag. Get your toenails done, too.

Re: holiday dresses
Ummm....no, hence the "shy", however for the ladies here is a pic from over the Labor Day weekend and one from my father and I hiking a mountain last April. I am really not big on pictures so there are not that many kicking around. Figure not too many guys would peek in a thread about dresses!!!! I think we are hikacking this thread though...but since you are the initiator of the thread maybe that is okay?

Edited because I took out the pictures. I figure EVENTUALLY a guy might peek in here!!!

Re: holiday dresses
Yes, the hair is naturally that way. I can straighten it if I want but it just naturally dries curly. It was a bit humid that day so it was kinda out of control. Oh well. Not much I can do to tame the locks!
