Re: Whats up?

I honestly don't remember the old coolrunning, i remember i loved it a lot more than it is now, but you have to accept change in order to move on in life. Little things like what this forum looks like and how it functions shouldnt' affect your overall opinion of this site, there is still the same amount of quality information from personal experiecnce out here.

ANYWAYS

I can run again!!!!!!!!!!

1st off, breaking a foot puts into perspecitive how much i relied on running EVERY DAY, and for instance, something little like this forum should NEVER make me angry or mad. You can't change it so suck it up!

I was 3 weeks using crutches, plus two weeks walking around with the walking cast and gradually adding in walking around my house without the cast. and After exactly six weeks I was discharged. I have a bump where it broke that needs to file down, will eventually. and had plantar fascitis (sp?) that Im still working on. After a month with a broken foot I went to physio to get any probelms ironed out so I could get back to my life ASAP once the cast was off. I was able to bike 6 times per week for variable efforts (thats three seasons of the show lost on DVD ps.) , strength train in my fitness class four times per week and during my last week in the cast began wrestling practice....slightly since I could hurt my partners. After 8 weeks I was able to walk without a limp, still had some plantar fascitis problems, but started on a walking/running plan. I started with hour walks every other day for a week, then began with 3 x 1's. As of now (Im in the second week of the program and yesterday ran for a total of 1/2 hr with 10 x 2's) I am soooo happy and excited. Today, I had my first wrestling tournament and came fourth, and Ive been curling 4 times a week since the day I got the cast off.

Life is good and thanks for all the exercise Ideas and support guys! Ill be in top shape by track season
