I Started 1/5 as well.
I stopped in Week 7 last winter (oct-dec 2007). I repeated some, and had some short weeks, so it was really about 12 good weeks of running. I was really proud of getting out there every week. I was proud of my progress, proud of my attitude. I thought I was proud of doing it without making myself fixate on the accomplishment.; but when I ended up letting it take so long that I bumped into Christmas obligations and got derailed, I was pretty disappointed. I could have used the accomplishment after all.
I lurked on these forums last time around and it really helped. I figure I'll post this time through.
I went faster than I meant to (for me) on Monday, thought that I felt great and felt strong... and now of course I've made myself sore for two days
. I'll run, hopefully slower, at lunch today and post a quick note.
