I still haven't been able to find what Lemond said about Lance on ESPN. I did find what he was saying to French newspaper L'Equipe, about Lance threatening his life, his wife, his puppy, etc.

Does it surprise anyone that Lemond, a transplanted Frenchman (judging by his name) said all of this to a French newspaper, and that that paper was lame enough to print it? Can you imagine Armstrong bothering to threaten the life of such a schmuck?

I hope Lance does kick his ***. If he would prefer not to, I'd be happy to volunteer.

I agree with you. Who made Lemond God of cycling all of a sudden?

Again Lemond shows his bitterness, jealousy and lack of class by badmouthing Lance and Floyd. He's never been able to accept Lance's success which was EARNED by hard work and perseverance; quitting was never an option for him. How dare him judge and convince Floyd for doping when we're talking about testosterone, an unusual spike. If you know anything about steroids, you know one dose on one particular day would not suddenly make you superman. Listen to what the facts are and educate yourself regarding these substances; Floyd's testosterone level tends to be higher than normal. Let the experts sort it out.

I use to be a fan of Lemond's, watching him in the Tour and will never forget when he won the time-trial and overall by eight seconds. But the behavior he's displayed over the past few years with his out-spoken, judgement comments about other riders has made me lose all respect for him. He has no integrity period.

What evidence does Greg Lemond have that Lance Armstrong has used performance drugs.
I would like to tell a story that I know is the truth about Lance. It goes way back to Lances triathalon years. I have never met Lance but I had saw him and later started to read stories about him. I was just a age grouper triathelete, I believe in the 20-24 age group. Not the best triathalete but followed the sport and the top atheletes. I remember seeing Lance near the front of the race with a couple of top name atheletes. The pros always started first and I was always able to see them coming back in as I was going out. One race was in Orange County California and another in San Diego. I asked a couple of people who was that triathelete behind Mike Pigg. Mike Pigg was a top pro triathalete that had dominated the shorter distances of triathalons for a couple of years. This kid looked very young in an endurance sport and looked like he was running down Mike Pigg. Back then, Lances face was much rounder, a little pudgy and his muscles was not even developed. He just did not fit in at all. To me, he just stood out, from the pros like he just did not belong there. He looked like the MADD magazine character. No one knew who the kid was except I would read his name Lance Armstrong in my racing results. Later I found out Lance was really 15 years old and saying he was 19 so he could enter pro divisions.
Lance Armstrong was incredible athelete at 14-15 years old. Later I always read stories about Lance and started to follow him because I knew he was going to be an amazing athelete. There was an article back then about how Lance did not build up lactic acid and was bound to be some kind of great athelete. Ther was medical articles about his future.
I was a little bummed when I heard he was going to ride bikes only because I thought he was going to propell the sport of triathalons.
I noticed that most of the top Triatheletes excelled around the age of 30. That is why Lance looked so odd in the front at 15. Triathalons was more of an indurance sport. You got better with age. The more hours and years you trained the better you got.
I am not saying that for a fact I know Lance has never doped. I just do not see the evidence for that he has done it.
I think Greg Lemond is a poor sportsman and can not stand being in Lance Armstrongs shadow now. He seems to speakout willingly when he suspects Lance Armstrong has doped. Just look how he came out and said it is nice to see someone clean win the tour this year and then turn on Floyd Landis after testing positive. Lance seems to have been drug tested so many times, never failing a drug test. Why does Greg Lemond know so much about doping and how does he know everone is doing it. Who is to say Greg Lemond was a guinea pig who was testing drugs when he won the tour.
I ask if it is possible Lance Armstrong was doping at the age of 14-20 years old. Because Lance was an incredible triathalete at that time. I find it hard to believe someone that young would be doping. I just remember seeing how fast he was at that age and feel Lance may be the exception to the doping scandals.
