Espnrise.com is having a tournament for the best state in boys hoops much like they did this previous fall witrh football. Should be interesting to see who wins.

Is there any real question? Indiana has the best HS hoops.
It's hard to believe that Indiana might not get voted into the 8-state playing field. The Top 25 is littered with Indiana teams... well-represented with three teams making the list. Only one other state tops that (Florida with four).
NO NO NO.... I think Indiana has the most history and the biggest basketball lovers in the country yet my state would be California. The state is huge which is why it has such an advantage but the talent around the LA section has scouts drooling every year
I agree with lil penny, Indiana and kentucky are the most basketball crazy states, but the most talented states are always going to be the ones with the bigger populations.
Legend Status
Thats a whole new can of worms when it comes to which state are the most crazy about basketball and the history they have (Kentucky and Indiana). Yet the talent comes from other states with with cities.
I think the problem with states like Kentucky and Indiana is that they have great teams, just not as many as some of the other states. Indiana might have a bunch of top 25 teams, but after that the talent probably drops off a bit.
I agree. I must say that those states with large cities are the ones with the premier high school hoops. Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, Houston/Dallas, Los Angleles. There is a difference between talent and the devotion for basketball
