Yeah it's an embarassing incident, but sports venues can't possibly be secure from idiots like this. That's why you see so many running onto the baseball or football fields.

In a lot of arenas, the area right behind the bench is used for fans filing to and from their seat. Right up until he stopped behind the bench and jumped over, there was no reason to think he wasn't just going to get some nachos.

If they're going to beef up security, they need to just station a man with a billy club right behind the bench. Otherwise I'm not sure what all you can do.

Its sad that sports have got to a point where you cant go to a game with out getting searched or having security guards protecting the court/field. You cant even go to a high school game with out there being cops there. Go to an eagles game and you get felt up at the gates cause they think every one has a flare gun in their waistbands. This is getting rediculous.

i Agree, they are seperating the fans from the game, not saying fans should get invovled but the fans need to feel like they are part of the home team.
