I'm looking for a comfortable, effective headlamp...one that I can perhaps clip to a hat or visor (or wear around a hat). I'm also considering the GoMotion LiteVest or belt, which places the light either at the sternum (vest) or waist (belt). Has anyone tried the GoMotion products...is it useful to have the light at the chest or waist? Headlamps I'm looking at include the Princeton Quad or Petzl Zipka or Tikka.
I have Princeton Tec and really enjoy it. It's well balanced and projects a nice light stream. This is not a clip on headlamp. It has a battery pack on the back but is so well balanced you forget you have it on. I loaned it to a friend who was doing a relay race and there were several headlamps available within the team. Evidently they were fighting over who could use my headlamp.
I have several Petzels for hiking and different things
I have used them on runs and they work fine
I do like the Firefly from RoadID which create awesome products:
