I have an Elliptical at home and it really helped me out with my tri and 10k training that I did. I had a 10k that the first 2.5 miles was a 880 ft upgrade and I just did 30min on level 8-10 then just the 30min random workout with it. I love it and it doesn't hurt the knees and ankles!
Jacova was asking for "any feedback" and I was just stating what I use it for. Did you want me to have some name brands..... I don't think that, that really matters. All that matters is that it does what you want it to do to your body. Sorry that you felt that my reply was useless maybe someone didn't think so.
I'd recommend purchasing one that can be adjusted for elevation to mimic hill running; my Elliptical doesn't have that option and I notice the difference when I use the one at the local Health Store which has the option for elevation.
