Haven't read the book but it sounds interesting. You may be interested to know that the Sierra Club has group that leads urban youth out for camping weekends. A very rewarding and fun event to be a part of!
yes---a little repetative throughout, but certainly a critical message.
I realize this is an old post - but wondering what you thought of the book? Would you write a review of it?
I used to work in housing projects in Toronto - and it's amazing how many people in the city have never seen a starry filled sky! Thankfully I have lots of opportunities to get my little boy out on camping and fishing trips quite often.
