trail shoes....any suggestions?

Hey everyone!
The weather is getting sloppy again, and so very wet. I am looking to get a pair of trail shoes, something that is flexible and lightweight as possible. I run 60-70mpw, and am neutral gaited. Does anyone have any opinions on a serious trail shoe they have tried out so far this fall? My local running store only carries NB, Asics, Adidas, Saucony and Mizuno....it's a smaller town. Thx!!!

I have a pair of new balance trail runners that work well for me. I have a neutral gait and high arches. I alternate between them and my Saucony's

I just got Adidas Supernova Trail shoes and I am in love! I have only worn Asics for the last couple of years but the extra ventilation mesh uppers was resulting in soaking wet feet. I wear a neutral shoe too.

INOV8 Flyrock 310! You won't regret buying them.

When running on trails, I use cross-country spikes. You get great traction and light weight. Forget spikes, however, if much of your run is on pavement or rocky trails.

I second the FlyRocs. I've worn them in trail races, mountain races, and even a 31 mile mountain run. Lightweight and good traction on all surfaces.

I use them as well, but more during the winter months. On long runs never. Not enough cushion. For a 10-12 miler sure thing!

Re: trail shoes....any suggestions?
Not to turn this into an Inov-8 discussion, but this may assist you, runnermom3. My only problem with the Flyrocs is I cannot get the shoe insert to stay in place. During a run it gradually shifts further and further to the back of the shoe, until my toes are all the way beyond it inside the shoe. I emailed them about why this happens and they stated it's because I have "low volume feet", and they suggested I get one of the additional inserts they sell. Since I can't get them online or in any store near me, I'm SOL in that regard. I need to go buy some rubber cement or something.

Otherwise I like them - too bad I haven't worn them in about 3 months because I'm lazy.

Brooks Adrenaline trail shoes are what I run in, whether on or off trail. Great shoes.for me.
