Quite a few places in CA. After retiring from the Navy my Dad was a government contractor and we move around a lot...like every three years. We lived in Sacramento for three years, Santa Maria for three years, Placerville for two years and finally settled in Riverside until I joined the Navy. Then they sent me to San Diego, Okinawa and Camp Pendleton and then to the East Coast never to go back to live...I do visit often since I still have relatives in Riverside.
Charlotte,
We have orders to Iwakuni. It is only a 3 hor or so bullet train ride away from Tokyo so I will make The Tokyo MArathon an annual thing while there. You and Bill should plan on a trip to Japan where you guys will have room and board until we get into Tokyo. I week or so will do you some good to visit another continent and run a race. You should find one close to your homeland and then you can start knocking out the seven continents before you turn 70. I like this. Me making goals for you! I plan on hitting Tokyo and one or 2 in Australia and I really want to hit the Great Wall of China Marathon. Goals.

Great wall of China....boy you do have goals! Good luck!!.
Great Wall - now that is a goal, on a scale with Antarctica.
We've come this far and it's still the same,
Runnin' out here in the rain.
Just one more mile, if only you could fly.
(Apologies to T. Rush and J. Tempchin, for the paraphrase)
Jimmy,
Keep us posted on that Jimmy. I would consider doing the Great Wall even if I don't end up stationed out there.

I gave beer up for lent, but its been good for the training program. One exception was Shamrock Half-Marathon in Va Beach which was a blast...sponsored by Yuengling! Haven't tried the new Michelob version...honestly, my yen for beer is waning. Easter Sunday is always good to knock one down...just to remember the taste.
I want to knock out this BQ thing...then perhaps 50 at 50...one step at a time.
Happy Running!
Mike, Umm, I'm the opposite of little! LOL
Jesus, We are going to test this ability in 2 weeks!
