Why Hello.
In my non-professional opinion, the best triathlon training shorts on the market today are ZOOT. No, I am not a sponsored athlete, thus, my opinion is not biased by promotional checks or contracts. I am merely a picky consumer of shorts. The Zoot shorts are great! They do not slip, they fit like a glove, and have a pretty good shammy. Of course no short is perfect. And people tend to keep and wear shorts long after the life of the short has worn out. Riding shorts are like running shoes. They have to be changed after a certain number of miles - for me it is usually after one year of regular use. I also recommend getting a new triathlon racing suit every year. You would not race in worn out running flats so why race in a worn out racing suit.
Hope this helps.
Happy Trails.
2xu are nice i like them and would pay for them again
I really like the Pearl Izumi Kawaihae Race short for racing and the Tri-short for training. I've been very satisfied with the whole PI line of products as a matter of fact. That being said - I will echo what grabawheel says below - replace your gear regularly. I also highly recommend the PI Streak running shoe.
Happy tri-ing!!
DeSoto.....
I'm a rookie but I have a pair of Zoot and a pair of 2XU. I like'm both.
Also a HUGE fan of the ZOOT they last long and wear great I am doing the Tri for the Cure this weekend and have been training in some that I just bought a few weeks ago and cant wait ...... The only thing is they take a long time to dry, I just lay them flat and it takes about a day and a half.
