Seattle RnR

MCM peeps we love and appreciate you. We just scored two entries to the sold-out Seattle R’n’R and it took a millisecond to decide who to offer them to first: you guys. So, who wants ‘em?

If you want ‘em, reply to this thread and tell us a little bit about why you do. If enough people are interested the community can decide who deserves them the most.

I would so take them if I had a airfare ticket as well.  So unless soemone has connections with the airlines then I am out.  If so let me know and I will represent the masses.

On a very serious note if no one can run this race then let me know and maybe just maybe I can accomodate this.  I was already looking at this as a chance to run Washington.  Jerry will be out there and I would love to go out and rock Seattle before heading to Japan.  I have been running one a month since january of '08 and a couple of times I have hammered out 2 in the same month.  The only months that I missed official marathons in this tear were August last year when we went home to see my father who had cancer and February of this year when I made it 60 miles in a hundred mile attempt.  It would be awesome to continue this until I am no longer able to find the races in my new home away from America.

    Toby,

Thank you for thinking of us. Some day, I will be like Jimmy and able to fly off on a whim for these things. I believe that Jimmy is a center stone to this community and is well deserving of one.

BTW--Keep us up to day on all your ultra's it is inspiring. I'm still planning on going for the jacket at the end of this year with the 3 50K's and marathon within a 3 month time frame.

Come on guys this is the way we at the MCM forum make Active appreciate us.  Toby give me a few days to break Liz down on this trip.  Nita, Craig, Karen, Kevyn anyone else show your interest so the entires don't dissappear.  Come on I am a maybe at this point depending on a plane ticket or even if I get aselected for one of the entries.

I would love to, but 6 weeks just isn't enough time to go from 7 miles to 26.

I just took a look at the flights, not terrible on Alaska Air, but I doubt I can go because of work. If Southwest had direct & better prices, it'd be a little more feasible cause I could cancel.

    Re: Seattle RnR

Toby, like others, I'm theoretically interested but the flight alone would run me $500. I'm stoked Active.com thought of us first I saw the contest for the Chicago tri but I don't know how I'd get my bike out there so I didn't enter.

No divorce lawyer, Nita! Fly out with me and we can share a hotel room!

Think of it this way too....you will get some extra bling cause you ran Nashville, you can do Seattle, sign up for at least the half at San Antonio, then Vegas! All RnR's!!

    Come!

Well I am up for a good 26.2 miles in Seattle.  Sounds like we have three who are for surely interested.  I can stay with my sister-in-law or just get a cheap hotel, flights aren't bad.

Now Seattle is turning into a party? I suppose it's a good thing there's only two entries available or else I'd probably end up flying cross country for a weekend.
