This is the one ride in Chester County that I never, ever miss. It is well supported and a blast to ride with rolling hills, great scenery. Nice to see it growing over the years...
What a great ride! We had awesome weather, exceptional support (registration, SAG, food/rest stops, etc), super road markings, wonderful scenery and a very fun bar-b-que when it was all done! You could not have asked for a better ride!!
My 4th year in a row - never miss this ride since I've heard about it. You get to see all the beautiful open spaces still left in Chester County. I never been on a ride so thoroughly supplanted with volunteers at major intersections. Very well organized.
Food at rest stops could be better, but the drinks are always ice cold (something you don't get on less organized rides).
The 50 mile ride was shorter this year?? It usually turns out to be 54 miles or so, but came in under 50 this Year?? Also, the ride seemed less challenging than in past years.
All told, a terrific ride and highly recommended.
I love this ride!!! It seems to gets better every year and this was the best year yet! Perfect weather, lots of really nice people to meet on the ride, awesome scenery, and the volunteers are fantastic. The food and refreshments at the end of the ride were a step above other rides. It is really well organized, with great road markers along the way and nice rest stops too. I?ve done plenty of rides and races over the years - if you haven?t done this one before, put it on your calendar for next year.
This is my second year. I did this ride for the first time with my husband, it was his last ride. He passed away with colon cancer that year 2007. 2008 I had a brain tumor removed so I didn't ride. But I was going to do it this year! I only did the 10 mile one. But it felt great to do it again! It made me think of the last time we biked together and how proud he was to make it! I would like to do the 25 mile one next year!
It is for a worthy cause and worth every mile!
It was an absolute perfect day for a ride! It was my first year and definitely wont be my last. All of the volunteers were very helpful and professional. Great event!!!
I was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in February 2000.I have wanted to participate in a bike ride for all these years and finally stepped up and did the 25 mile ride.I have to be honest it was the most rewarding experience ever. The other riders were very helpful and courteous, the rest stops were full of fresh food and drinks as well as very nice volunteers. The BBQ at the end was a amazing, lots of delicious food and I felt very welcomed at the end.I will be doing this ride from here on out.The 25 miles was a little tough if youre a beginner rider because of some of the hills, but the view was amazing and dont feel guilty if you have to walk some,as long as you finish its all that matters.
Great ride. On course volunteers is very helpful. The post ride BBQ is an important addition to the event.
