But, I'm working on that!

Yeah. I think I could run a 3:07:15 on a flat course. But those other times are wayyyyyyyy out of my reach.

Re: Forget Calculators: Actual Results?
My PRs are all outdated except for the marathon PR, but not by a whole lot. I don't think I could run faster than 16:40 for 5K (5:20 pace).

5K 5:27/mi
Half: 5:50/mi
Marathon: 5:57/mi

Re: Forget Calculators: Actual Results?
5k--- 5:53 pace
5mile--- 6:05 pace
10k--- 6:06 pace (old PR)
15k--- 6:22
10mile--6:21
half-- 6:22
marathon-- 6:43

someone said that you can run a marathon 43 seconds slower than 5k and 32 seconds slower than 10k pace. So I am "still" underachieving at the marathon distance considering this is the distance I train for.

The marathon time was the oldest (a year and a half ago) and I hope to better it somewhat this weekend.

Let me change this to

marathon 3:01:33 (6:56)

I think the 3:07 PR is a bit on the soft side. I ran it at Boston last year in the heat. I think I was in sub 3:05 shape for Boston. Perhaps better on a flatter course. Who knows.

BTW, I wouldn't say the other times are out of your reach. You aren't that far away. You're only :18/mile off the 1/2 mar & :30/mile off the 5 mile.

Keep workin' it.

Re: Forget Calculators: Actual Results?
3km - 9:53 - 3:16/km
5km - 16:41 - 3:20/km - +04sec
10km - 34:22 - 3:26/km - +06sec
15km - 55:19 - 3:41/km - +15sec
42.2km - 2:56:39 - 4:11/km - +30sec

start falling off the pace in the marathon although it was a negative split so I hope one day to lower that time significantly if I can only string a decent period of time of high milage together without injury.

Re: Forget Calculators: Actual Results?
I'm in the same boat as some of the above posters; I suffered from a lack of overall endurance in my first marathon. My other times mostly follow my VDOT predictions (~ 48.5) from Daniels' formula:

1 mile - 5:58
2 mile - 12:40
5k - 20:38
10k - 42:44
10 mile - 1:11:09
20k - 1:28:54
25k - 1:54:00
30k - 2:17:53
Marathon - 3:30:48

I should have run a 3:17:00 marathon, according to the charts. I dropped off at mile 19 when I tried to catch back up with my 3:20 pace group after a bathroom break at mile 15.
