Okay so I just got home from doing some serious speed work with the young Marines.  It was my second run today and I had to put it on them.  One of them mouthed off to me in a funny way and I took them out and wore them out.  I ended up going for about 3/4 mile warm-up and then it was to the tennis courts for some SUICIDES.  We used 4 courts and went across the for width wise.  Run to the outer edge and bac across all 4.  We started on the first court ran across and back then to the far side of court 2 and back then to third one and back and finished with the fourth one and back.  We reall worked it out and really I would have rather done 4-8 quarters.  I went 6 times through this and would have done more but the kiddos were dying.  We then ran 1.5 miles to get back the long way.  They will learn not to be mouthy.  I figur it was another 3-4 miles of running?

Jimmy... now I remember why I enjoy not having young troops under my care at the moment.  You're da' man...whipping them into shape.

I learned how to turn a 16 mile ride into a 23 mile ride... just ride in SC without a map, where every county road looks like the next and they haven't heard of "street signs" yet.  :-D

Ruby, soooo dam sorry about your knee! Have you been to the doctor to try to find out what's going on, done any PT with it? That is so frustrating. I hope you find some answers soon and can run painfree. Sorry!

Awww, thanks Nita!  You are so sweet.  It's the same knee, but a different part of the knee now.  I'd go to the doctor, but I need to find a new one.  He'll usually just say to ice it, stretch it, rest it, yada yada, blah blah!

It's depressing, but I know some painfree running is just around the corner somewhere.  Gotta keep the hope and look on the bright side, right?

Shell, I'm sorry to hear you're still feeling cruddy.  I hope you feel better soon.  Don't sweat it, rest up and get better soon.
