Skipping 10 miles is surprisingly tiring. Good luck!

I didn't register and it's sold out, thus - out.

Nah, I was leaning toward the Double Creek Half in York, PA. That's why I didn't register for Bal'mer. I'm still not sure about York.

I'm in-just picked up my bib. Ran the inaugural last year and it was great. Course is great and post race party at the zoo was great last year! Looking forward to this year and the awesome swag.

    Hey Holly,

Andrea and I are not going to make it there this year.     I was interested, but she really hated that last 2 miles!  And we simply had way too much going on back when we would have had to sign up.

    See you in Potomac, though!

Hey all.  I'm registered for Double Creek, but only the 5K this Saturday.  I have just gotten back into running (was a sprinter in college, 10 long years ago).  I'm not used to this pacing thing, but I'm getting the hang of it.

I have set a goal to run MCM in '11.  I want to make sure I train properly and don't rush things, that's why '11 instead of '10.  I'm looking forward to just being on the road and meeting new friends, all while getting in shape and enjoying the scenery.

Courir26, I'll be the guy with the wide eyes near the back of the pack.

I am signed up.  You guys spoke so highly of it when I met you at the Autism Speaks event last July.  That being said. . .what is it about the last two miles?  hills?

    the last two miles? Hills?

First, it's not the last 2 miles. It's a few hundred yards less than 2 miles.  Second, it is not hills. there is only ONE hill. It starts at Mile ~8.1 and lasts 2+ miles.

Unfortunately not.  I was looking forward to putting the pink shirt on again this year, but my wife let me know earlier this week that we will be home on the 4th.  Last year we traveled to her sister's house in the DC area.

I also wanted to go to Tiger's event at Congressional that weekend.  Oh well, Harrisburg it is.

Hi All, we're in for some nasty, rainy, and humid weather in the 90s tomorrow.  Good luck to everyone and hope to see you at the finish line, beer in hand.
