On any hike, a new application can tell you temperature at intervals on the hike

and can accurately tell you when there may be a greater than 90% chance of a thunderstorm....2 days before you head out. Would this ne valuable to you...if so why?

Of very little value. It's called local weather forecast. Weather forecasts are  60% +- accurate greater than one day out in Colorado so it really does not good to try to schedule outdoor activities, work crews etc around that low an accuracy.

I would like to have a warning system device that can reach me any where and let me know if serious stuff is coming in. I am constantly not seeing the dark cloud and/or white out hidden behind the mt top.
