Great Run. All skill levels were welcome. Over 2000 runners participated this year. Look forward to next year's Kiwanis run.

Re: 30th Annual Kiwanis Morton Plant Mease Midnight Run Reviews

For an event that has been going on for 30 years it seemed very unorganized.  When lining up for the 5K, people had to be on the watch for returning mile runners, as the route had to be crossed to get to the start line, which is ridiculous.  After the race, the water tables ran out of water, which was lukewarm at best, even when it was on the table.

As for the course, yes, it is a pretty run, especially at night, but to have the only water station for the 5K w/in a half mile of the start of the race is ridiculous, especially considering the average temperature for the race.  More water tables for the 5K would be nice.  Also, how about some splits?  I like to know where I am on a course, besides the obvious halfway point at the turn around.  I did see a guy wearing a red headlamp who when asked replied that he was the 2 mile marker, but he was not advertising the fact, and had no idea what the race clock was.

This race could be awesome, but it needs a bit of work by the organizers.
