Can this be Sciatica? Help!

I have had debilitating pain in my right inner thigh since a long run

about a month ago. Upon every heel strike it feels like a metal rod is

firing up between my hip/groin and my knee (inner thigh section). Doc

originally thought this was a post-labrum tear surgery complication,

possibly a groin strain, but the PT believes it is lower back related

(possibly L2/L3/L4) Has anyone had sciatica like this? Can sciatic pain

cause amazing pain in the* inner thigh *upon striking? Has anyone experienced this?

I'm not sure what you mean by "inner thigh". To the best of my knowledge, sciatic pain (and piriformis syndrome) runs from the buttocks and down the back of the leg, and it doesn't limit itself to footstrike. I suppose it could be lower back, but I've had strained muscles on the inside of the thigh (that is, directly facing the other leg) which cleared up after several weeks of treating it as a muscle strain.
