I've never been a good runner, so I feel this is a good way to start! I'm going to do my workouts on Tuesday, Thursdays, and Saturdays. If anyone is starting, or not too far along lets stay in touch ![]()
I am newer runner. What helped me alot was keeping track of my accomplishments. And every run is an accomplishment.
I have a watch, the inexpensive one with a sensor from Nike, that keeps track of my runs. I do not wear their shoes but ...
It helped to see the miles keep building up. Keep building, keep walking, jogging and walking.
I am in! Let's run.
Hi - I would love to join this support group. I also have never been a good runner & am starting the C25K for the second time now :)!
I will be doing my runs on Monday's, Wednesday's and Saturday's....
Hopefully feeling accountable to this group - will keep me motiviated.
Hey!
I started C25k today ....I have been walking for quite sometime and have always wanted to run. A friend recommended this site and I am very excited to get started.
I will be doing my plan on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Lets keep each other motivated!!
Count me in. Starting today Sep 29th. A friend has been doing this program for a few months now and really trying to get me involved as well. She has progressed up to running half marathons and has lost heaps of weight - and looks great!!
I am not planning on the marathons anytime soon, but I do have at least 25 kg to drop and want to look better for my sons wedding next year.

I just started it last night, so I guess that's close enough. My days are going to be Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday.

Awesome! Knowing that people are working through the same thing as me will definitly keep me motivated! I'm excited to hear how all of our runs go!
I am not new to running just getting back into it. I started walking a few months ago and have started to add running to my workouts. Could someone explain to me what a C25k is? Thanks, Linda
Hi all,
I think I am ahead of you guys over there - I am in OZ.
Just come back from my Day 1 Week 1 run!! WOW!!!
I found the podcast from John Ullrey to be invaluable. It really, really helped. I just concentrated on his encouragement and the music, took my dogs, left my phone at home and I feel terrific. Puffed, sweaty and terribly overweight, but terrific ![]()
I am already up to nearly 5000 steps today on my pedometer and it is only just past 9 am.
good luck everyone!!

Linda,
C25K stands for Couch to 5K. It's a plan to get you from nothing to running a 3 miles in two months.
Here it is:

Where can I find the podcast from John Ullrey?
Jim
C25K is "Couch to 5k"
I want in! Count me in...
Starting tomorrow too!
Thanks, I need this. I used to be a long distance runner..... ummmm in high school!
I have done a few 5k's in my lifetime (mostly in my 20's and 30's) I will be 43 in October so the time is NOW................
I have two little girls ages 4 and 5 and I want to be around for them......
I used to love to run and now I need to run..........
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE~
Sorry - it is Robert Ullrey. Check out the home page of C25K and scroll down to the podcasts. Click on the link to Robert Ullreys site. He has a podcast for every week of the program. Great idea. I didn't need to look at a watch - just plugged in the ipod and started - shuffled, really.
