I did W2D1 on Wednesday and it was not as bad as I thought.  I'm doing W2D2 today and I'm actually looking forward to it. I didn't get sore at all from Week 1 but I've been a litlte sore after W2D1.  I was so worried that I woudn't be able to do it and I actually was so that's exciting! Let me know how it goes for you.

Well I completed W1D2 last night. It wasn't any harder than day one except I was working with a little bit of an incline on certain parts of the track. Also about the 4th interval I have to slow my jog to a walk about 40 sec in. Other than that I finished strong and hope that I can get control of my breathing. Plan on doing D3 tomorrow.... Going walking tonight though. Have to push myself I have the Avon walk for Breast Cancer Oct 24 and 25.

    Good luck to everyone.

    Here's the thing

I've just come in from W1D2 and sat down to view posts with my post run cup of tea (I know - I'm Irish..!)

Reading through the posts I'm wondering if everyone is just sticking to the plan or are many of you doing other exercising of some form in between?

I have to admit that I can see it's going to be tricky enough to find the time and sometimes the motivation to stick to the plan - but I am determined...should I feel guilty though if I'm not doing anything else

By the way - I was really worried that the first day's enthusiasm would fade by the second repetition - but it didn't! Roll on W1D3!

I'm just doing the plan... I have a hard enough time finding time to fit the plan in, so doing other stuff just isn't possible right now, although I'd like to get back into strength training again.

    W1D3 for me tonight!

I have to do some exercise every day, because of my diabetes.  But I only walk, about 1.5 miles. so it's not nearly as strenuous.  If I didn't have to, I would do only the C25K program.

I'm a smoker (for now), and the program alone feels like it's going to kill me.

Re: Starting C25k tomorrow 9/29. Anyone want to Join?

I did week 2 day one today.. My hips were a little sore to begin with.  That is because yesterday I had a 3 set tennis league match in the morning.  Plus last night I went on a 5 mile hill climbing hike with my hiking club.  I ran some of the flat trail parts..wanted to get the course done before dark.  So anyway I was happy to be able to get thru todays sets without too much difficulty.  I am working on really doing a full jog during the runs though instead of a barely moving jog.  I'd like to be able have my pace be below 14 minute miles when I do my 5 k around Thanksgiving.   Because I am a hiker who goes on all day hikes frequently I started week one and two with 30 minute workouts rather than the 20.  After driving to a flat running course I felt like I needed/wanted to do at least a half an hour workout.  Keep with it everyone!    We are all in this together!

I am walking in between the run days.

I wear a pedometer and try to achieve a minimum number of steps per day. I started with 6000 steps but have found that too easy. I am now working on 8000 steps per day and will soon lift that to 10,000. that will require a bit of effort, but at least it includes all movement not just planned exercise. I am trying to lose at least 20 kg, so need all the help I can get!

Well, I just finished W1D2.  It was a little easier.  I didn't think "I'd rather be dead than run another step" until round 6, instead of round 3 on Wednesday.  On the last one, I really tried to pour it on, and ended up having to stop after 40 seconds.  Next time, I won't make that mistake.

    Day 3 on Sunday!

Just come in from W1D3 and maybe it was because it was such a still beautiful morning with no wind, but I felt really good! Having asked the question about other types of exercise, I'm now trying to think of ways to rack up a few more steps everyday - I've been very impressed with everyone else's efforts! But I feel a particular empathy with you as I too am a smoker. I'm thinking at the minute it's a bit like carbon ofsetting - some excercise doesn't make the smoking too bad but ideally I'd like the exercise to take over from the smoking.

I did W1D3 yesterday morning and I felt great! The breaks in between the days make a huge difference and the podcasts are awesome! Hope everyone is doing well!

I'm in. I'm closing in on 40 and haven't run since high school. I did my first run yesterday and survived. My lungs and thighs hate me right now, but not bad enough that I won't do run #2 tomorrow. Good luck all.
