Gaiter Recommendations

Who has gaiter recommendations? For the running I do all I need is ankle gaiters. I've had some people recommend dirty girl gaiters but on their website it talks about velcro that's good for a few uses and then buying your own after that? Seems like a bit of a hassle. What do you guys and gals use to keep sticks and rocks out of your shoes while trail running? Thanks

I do today what you won't, so tomorrow I do what you can't.

All the SoCal Ultra Runners wear http://www.dirtygirlgaiters.com/ because the owner/creater is a local ultra runner and they want to support her business. Plus the choices of colors/patterns are awesome!

Re: Gaiter Recommendations

First off, for trail runrs, gaiters are a must!  Espicially if you stretch it out to the 15 and more milers - monkeying around getting pebbles out of shoes is not fun...  The gaiters I use are from Joe Trailman Gaiters, http://www.joetrailman.com, in Tucson.  They are working fine for me.  Trippy purple color, too.

Re: Gaiter Recommendations

Hey there, I've been trail running for a few years now and 'dirty girl' gaiters are awesome! There is no hassle with the velcro and after a 100 miles of running through the trails, through river crossings and into the mud I have not lost a gaiter yet!  Oh, and they are a great conversations piece... I haven't run a race yet where someone hasn't commented on my gaiters.
