cross-training . . . what else do you do besides running?

What are your other exercise routines?

I do Tai Chi, and love it. I'm currently starting a light weight-training routine to help my upper body. That's about it. I'm not as atheletic as I wish I was.

I do pilates every morning except I usually take Sunday's off (no time before church) which I love and really miss if I don't do; feels so good to start the day with all the stretching, breathing, etc. as I'm sure you can relate to doing tai chi....I also lift weights upper and lower body at least 2-3 times a week and abdominal work after most of my shorter runs.   The weights really help I think, and if my lower body is a little sore the day after lifting I either run a shorter distance the next day or not run at all if I'm reaaalllly sore!! (those darn squats get me every time!!)

Hi

I run Mon, Wed & Sat and on Tues/Thur I walk for an hour and do an hour of toning at the YMCA with weights, body bar, etc...I take Fridays off and on Sunday walk a really hilly course...I do 100 wall pushups every day and 300 stomach exercises a day

Besides running, I swim, bike (both road and mountain), lift weights, and overall conditioning. I find this keeps me fresh. This winter, I would like to start snow shoeing.
