marathon post ironman?

First iron distance on Sept 6.  Race went really well and minimal soreness in days following.  Planning on doing marathon 8 weeks post ironman.  wise decision?  I feel fine and waited 10 days to run post ironman.  Plan to take it up to 2.5 hour run this weekend and then taper for 2 weeks?

Hey there! Which event did you compete in? Share the highlights with us? I'm glad to read that it went well & that your body is recovering.

So you're looking at a marathon 8 weeks post IM finish, and your body feels good. Can you tell us anything more about the rest of your training plan and/or focus post-marathon? What level priority is the marathon event and what are your goals? Can you tell us more about your concerns with the event?
