The running community is mourning the loss of 3 runners at the Detroit Marathon on Sunday. Details are still emerging; but here is the Detroit Free Press story on the tragedy: click here
We wanted to start this thread to give people an opportunity to express their condolences and best wishes for the families that have lost loved ones. Feel free to post your thoughts and prayers.
My prayers go out to the families, that they will overcome the tragic loss of losing their loved ones. There are no words to express how deeply we are all saddened by the loss of fellow runners doing what they loved to do.
"Courage doesn't always roar, sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying "I will try again tomorrow."
I'm sorry to learn about the painful loss of these three men: Daniel, Rick & Jon.
I pray that their friends & families will be surrounded by a network of strength, peace and understanding. I pray that love will embrace the families like a shield, offering protection and comfort that will last for the decades to come.
