New - fat and slow but ready to change my life!

I started the C25K program a few months ago but didn't make it very far before an injury sidelined me.  The injury was an old one that flared up and left me feeling sorry for myself - so I quit running - but I am starting again TODAY!!  As soon as I get off work, I am going for a 3 mile walk/run and will do that every day  until I feel strong enough to run the whole thing.  Perhaps in 3 months, perhaps in a year - but I will do it!

christine4life,

What's the word? Have you been getting out there?

Wideguy and I are regulars on another set of threads in Newbie Cafe for runners who are at (or were) 200 lbs. +.  If that description fits you, head on over.  It's an active thread (we have a new thread each week), with people at every stage in the C25K program.  Come on over and say, "Hi!"

Cheers!

It was my wife's idea--really! Okay, it helps that I need to lose the weight, too.
