Anyone know who won the mens and women's divisions for D1?

Re: NCAA Cross Country Championships
I was there. It was assumed by all that Wisconsin would win the men's title, and it looked to me like Solinsky was right up front for a good portion of the race. At the end he died an awful death and ended up as their 4th man. I figured if anyone took them, it was Arkansas.

We had to get across two states rather quickly, so we took off before they announced the men's team winner. As we were getting into our car we heard a roar and the PA say "mumblemumble first, Wisconsin second". When we were getting gas someone told us Colorado won. Based on race strategy, it looks like the tortoise beat the hare.

Re: NCAA Cross Country Championships
After reviewing some data, here's what I have.

Women's race, standings at 3k (halfway)
1. Stanford
2. Michigan
3. Providence
4. Arkansas
5. Wisconsin
7. Colorado

Women's race, final standings
1. Stanford
2. Colorado
3. Michigan
4. Wisconsin
5. Arkansas

*****
Men's standings, 5k (halfway)
1. Wisconsin
2. Stanford
3. Arkansas
4. Iona
5. Colorado

Men's standings, 8k
1. Wisconsin
2. Colorado
3. Iona
4. Arkansas
5. Stanford

Men's final standings
1. Colorado
2. Wisconsin
3. Iona
4. Stanford
5. Oregon

Solinsky's implosion at the end didn't cost his team the title. The Badgers would have won only if he were first or second overall. Looks like a big part of Wetmore's "coaching genius" is just telling his runners not to go out too fast.

Re: NCAA Cross Country Championships
cowardlylion - I never ran CC or followed it before, but didn't the badgers lose by 48 points and Solinsky - favored by some to win the overall - Actuallu placed 73rd. Do they throw out the poeple that qualified individually for the team title points and how many points did he give the Badgers then?

2005 he finished 3rd overall

It will be interesting to see what he does after this year (Comes from a town @ 50 miles away)
