Stupid COLD! Train or not?

I have a nasty head cold and am right int he middle of training for a 10K in less than three weeks, and a 5 mile Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. I've been taking it easy for the last two days and it's driving me crazy. Any advice on training while getting over/having a cold?

Personally, it all depends on the severity of the cold and how hard you want/need to train.
I would not train hard if the cold is making me feel weak or anything like that.
Your body will tell you if you are pushing too hard.

No expert here either, seems like it may be best to wait it out, tough decision though...
Just a head cold....train.
Chest congestion and cough....rest.

Just an update for anyone wondering:
I stayed indoors and did light treadmill runs, also did some weight training.
Went back to long runs outside after I cleared up a bit. I think getting back out also helped clear my head. (Lots of nose-blowing, don't want to get too graphic.)
After reading other research I basically got that info, head cold is okay to go, anything in the chest is a no go!

I agree with pmaloney. In fact, I recently read this on Runner's World website. Head cold, lessen intensity some, but go ahead and run. Chest cold, congestion, stay in and do not train. I have just come down with a head cold myself and am training for a halfmarathon next Saturday (11/21), so I know how you feel. Hope this helps. Good luck.
If I can get around, but I just feel tired, but not achy, I'll train for sure. I find that if I have a cold, I keep on my fishoil, garlic, vitamin C and probiotic regimen and keep exercising with *lots*, even sometimes more than usual the amount, of water.
I find I typically get over my colds quicker by doing this, but I also restrict myself to the gym, vs going outside specifically because it's a controlled environment where I can just get in the car and go home if I don't feel up to it.
Otherwise you may be doing yourself more harm than good. That said, if you do go to the gym, make sure you wipe everything down after you use it so as to help prevent others from getting your crud too.
Hope this helps. And of course, if you're too sick to feel like going anywhere, try it once and if you can't manage, then you need to wait.
My hard and fast rule is run if the sickness is in the neck or above. Sit it out if it's below the neck.
Oh yeah, and running with mild fevers and body aches is always a bad thing.
