Ball of foot!

The 1st metatarsal head of my left foot in uneven with the other four.  No real pain to speak of.  I can't roll through a step correctly.  Ball of foot distributes weight correctly until it hits this 1st metatarsal joint, then the left side of my leg is forced to compensate and pushes my toe-off to the outside.  My arch also does not seem to flex and pronate properly because this dropped joint stops the rolling across the ball of my foot.

My podiatrists suggested new shoes and inserts.  Helps cushion mostly, does not seem to be correcting the problem.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  I NEED this fixed ASAP!!

I am hoping someone has handled this problem before and may have some insight.

Thank you.
