Again, I am humbled by another marathon experience. I am still reliving the day and my finishers coin in still in my pocket. This was my 1st MCM (3rd marathon) and it was my slowest to date...and I don't care! The sounds, sights, emotions and joy was worth every extra minute. The crowds were awesome-what a cheer squad! I will never forget running through Georgetown, sun in my face, cheering crowds all over and feeling alive and grateful.
Thank you to the tons of supporters out there yelling their heads off for us. The volunteers and race committe and everyone who made this race what it is-an experience that everyone should have. And especially my husband for making it all possible for me.
I also wanted to thank everyone here for the support, encouragement and laughs. I don't post too often but read almost everyday. I thought of you all on race day and was glad to be a (small) part of the group. Congrats to everyone! I can't wait until next year!
