Re: Pumpkins in the Park 5K Fitness Run & Walk Reviews

Nice event, badly organized.  Junior League should get out of race events if they can't provide results or information to runners.

Post race awards ceremony was disappointing, race committee couldn't figure out what the results were, and took huge amount of time to demonstrate this.

There was no Results Board, runners had no way to determine what times were or finish positions.

There are no web-based results to follow-up with.

Race shirts were not available, despite pre-registration (no matching to pre-race packetes).

Good intentions I'm sure, but this group shouldn't collect money if they can't provide basic services to runners.

Re: Pumpkins in the Park 5K Fitness Run & Walk Reviews

The Junior League was not new to this event; we've sponsored it for a number of years (10, if I'm not mistaken). We hold this event to raise money for a number of causes we work with as well as, and most importantly, for the foster care group home we're building in the area.  We chose to work with a new company this year to manage and operate the timing, and unfortunately there were many bugs to work out that we weren't aware of or prepared for.   Please rest assured that we will take every piece of constructive criticism and turn PIP into an even better event next year.   Please do not blackball the JLCNB and this event, as the issues that presented themselves were not ours, but those of contracted companies and of course, we not done on purpose or maliciously.
