Susan - I agree! Listening to someone cue me to run/walk is way more efficient! I used the Robert Ullrey podcast on my W1D3 (part a,lol) instead of my own music podcast just to give me a change. I really liked it.
I did make another podcast for myself to use this week, which is W1 (part b) for me. I used my favorite celtic music which isn't high in beats per minute, but it is extremely relaxing to me and I just get lost in the songs. W1D1 (part b, lol) was a success. I was able to get through the whole thing as scheduled. Very glad I decided to build up to it last week instead of giving up or hurting myself
I am planning to get new shoes in week 3 (would get them sooner, but the kids like to eat
). There is a store in a nearby city that has an extensive fitting process that includes discussion, measuring, checking the foot structure, running on a treadmill in a "neutral running shoe" to check for pronation, etc. These will be my reward for getting to week 3. Thinking I might buy a couple of new workout shirts for week 5 (saw the C25K shirts).
Hope everyone finds their motivation! Enjoy the run! ~ Carrie
