Re: How many miles for October?

Parvaneh -

My times were 3:12 and 3:15 respectively. I was hoping to do better for the first one - well, there's always a next time :-)

Are you coming to Vegas, Ramesh?  And if not, what is your next one?

Ramesh, the DUBAI marathon?  I can't imagine what that must be like.  I would melt at the start and not get any further than that.  Good luck, I know you train in heat, but even for you that has to be hotter than he!!.  Good luck, please post an RR so I can see what I have not missed.

Re: How many miles for October?

On the contrary, Charlotte, Dubai weather in January is perfect for a marathon - in the 50s. Haile Gebrselassie ran a 2:05 there last year (not that I consider him a competition!). Hopefully 2010 won't be any different. Sure will post a RR - will wait for one from you as well - oh wait, should I not? (What happens in Vegas...)

Re: How many miles for October?

I finished October with 113.5 miles including a very enjoyable half marathon in San Jose early in the month. Managed to stay compliant the entire month too.  Didn't miss a single running workout. Should be right around 120 miles for November if I complete all the training runs.  Talk to you soon.

Re: How many miles for October?

Parvaneh -

I have not run Dubai before. As far as I can tell, however, it's fairly friendly for women. From last year's results it seems 211 women ran the full marathon. They also have separate bathrooms for men and women!

So can I expect you and Steve there in January? :-)
