Every time I try to claim a result I get this message " Claim was not successful: The information in your active account does not match the information with this result (Age)" I'm 25 now and won't be 26 for another 4 months, in that time I'll have run at least 4 more tri's and I want to show people that I'm actually doing this stuff. According to USAT I have to register as 26 because I'll be 26 in December of '08, but Active wants my birthdate which is in September. How am I supposed to claim my results if the site won't recognize me for being me? I'm not attepmting to wow anyone with my results, but I do want to be able to claim that I did the tri's.
Confused,
Tim
P.S. a remedey for a chronic knee problem (stabbing pain) would be great if you have one. Thanks
Did you ever find out how to do this? I've contacted active about this and never got a response. They must have a way to do this.

You have gotten a lot farther than me
I still do not even know how to try to claim a result. I have tried going through the results tab of my profile and see a link to search for results but I do not see a link for claiming a result once i found them. This has been extremely frustrating. Can anyone provide assistance? Thansk! I have just completed my first sprint and would love ot claim the result and hopefully many more!
I may be able to help with that. What event did you do (name of the triathlon and date)?
There are 3 that I would like to claim:
Running:
Doug Kessler Lightning 10k, September 15, 2008
Doug Kessler Lightning 10k, September 26, 2009
Triathlon:
Madison Fitness Sprint Triathlon, October 18, 2009
Thanks for your help.
Once you are logged in to Active, click on the My Active link. Then:
- Click on the Results tab
- Click on Search Race Results
- Click on the Person/Participant tab
- Enter your first name, last name and city
- Click on the Person Search button
- Click on your name where you see your result
- Click on Claim this Result
- Repeat the prior 2 steps for each of your results
Note: If you don't see your name/event for the result you're looking to add, the event results may not be part of Active's Results database. This is the case for several of my events.
Actually, I think that you are going to have problems with this. Those races don't have searchable results, it's just a list of people and their scores. I went and searched for your events on the claim results page and the events didn't even come up. I was trying to find a post that I remember reading recently that talked about race results that are posted in list format only and the fact that they were not claimable (<- is that a word??). This is the link to the "How to claim your results" page in case you haven't seen it yet.
Thanks DLBJ and TRI. Your directions were right on. I agree, it looks like some events are not claimable(not sure if it is a word either:), however, I do know the procedure now and was able to claim a race that is in the database.
We set up some safeguards in the claiming tool. The age of the athlete in the result set, should match the age we have in your profile. Unfortunately, USAT does not use biological age, but rather, 'end-of-year' age.
In order to get around this, go into your profile and change your date of birth (by one year), such that your profile has the same age as what is in the file. Then claim your result. Then go back in and change your profile back to the proper year. Your result will stay claimed, once you claim it.
We have noticed this behavior and can report back here when the fix is in the works.
Thanks
