I've always enjoyed this event. It's so well organized and it's for such a great cause. I can't think of a better way to start my day of "plenty" than for those that do not have enough. Thanks Father Joe... and see you in November!
I can't review the event as I've never run it. I've hear nothing but good things in the past.
That being said, I really haven't done much in the way of running due to a to a back injury I received during my military career. Prior to that injury, I was training for my first marathon and was comfortable with running half-marathons. I have done some running off an on, but haven't motivitated myself to serious training.
This seems to me to be a great way to support Father Joe and his efforts to help those less fortunate than myself and to start over and finish my goal of someday running a marathon.
If training goes well, my first marathon will be the San Diego Rock-N-Roll Marathon on June 6, 2010.....just 3 weeks after my 50th B-day! Wish me luck.
