The Carlsbad Half Marathon was my first race EVER back in 2006. For those that don't know, it's a super-fast coastal/scenic out-and-back route along the 101. I was hooked on running after that event and haven't stopped since!
I just heard that half is SOLD OUT as of today. Did you sign up in time?

I hear it's a great course to set a half-marathon PR. January in San Diego is perfect for running in cool weather.
I missed out too! ![]()
This is my first time running the Carlsbad Marathon. Are there any big hills towards the end?
The half marathon and full course are only on the same course for a few miles before the full splits off and heads inland. I heard there are a few rollers on Palomar Airport Rd but besides that its a generally tame full marathon course.
