Hi Meg! Like you I have been walking for a long time, but just not losing the weight. I told my husband when I decided to do the C25K that walking was just not doing it for me anymore and that I needed something that my body is not used to in order to lose those 10 pesky pounds! I think this may do it.
Well, I have completed W1D1!! It was actually very very easy and I could have gone longer than the 30 min. (5 Warm Up, 20 min, 5 Cool Down) but I did not continue. I am going to do this program as prescribed. I was very surprised that I could do the 60 min jogs with no problem. I had to be careful to not run to fast and slowed down several times. I know that I need to start this program at a slower pace and the work up to my speed. I did my jogs by time instead of distance. I clocked 2.2 miles in the 30 min. So I guess that is pretty good for my first day at "running school"!
I really would like to do W1D2 tonight, but I will wait until tomorrow and do my weight workout tonight.
