I'm new to running (VERY new). I ran my 2nd 5k just this morning. So here's a silly, silly question (just for fun).
Do you save all of your bibs? What do you do with them?
livin' in Savannah, GA
I always save my racing bibs. I still have my bibs from my high school days. It is always nice to show the kids and remeber the races. I can still remember the races like they happened yesterday.
There are no limitations
I've saved only about a dozen of the bibs, either from special races or where the bib itself is unique. Otherwise I'd have about 140 of them to file away somewhere.
What I do save are T-shirts - I've kept about half of the total, which is still around 70 of them (the others are either worn out or I donated them to charity). Also any age group awards or finisher medals. More recently I've been saving printouts (or PDF files) of race results as well.

@ 10K: LA Chinatown Firecracker 10K, Los Angeles, CA, 52:15
I keep all of mine, too. I add the name of the race, date, distance and my time, whatever isn't already there. My wife says I should put them all in a scapbook. Right now they're just clipped together with big binder clips (I'm on my third one).
I do the same as, Len. I keep them all and record my time, date of the event, distance, etc. I keep them all in a storage file with old play bills from shows I've been in.

Hey- welcome to the sport... it's a fun sport to be involved with. I have saved every single one of my bibs... just to remember those races and what was good/bad or otherwise noteworthy about them. I keep thinking that maybe someday will win the lottery with those numbers??? I'm not sure why I save them... just maybe a silly nostalgic thing. The one that has most meaning for me is my 1st marathon bib.... I don't think I'll soon forget that experience!!!
I have all my bids and I also have all my medals, records and prizes. It makes me feel good about myself and what I am able to do with just the right training.
keep going !!!

I write the date and time from the race and then I hang it on the wall in my garage. It give me a constant reminder of what I've done - and my desire to add more.

I write the date, name of the run & distance, and location on the back, as well as my time. And if the weather is less than perfect, or anything unusual happens, I'll write about that, too. Don't have any awards (I AM a penguin!), but when I finish my first half- and full-marathons I will probably frame those!

One more breath, one more step, one more mile, FINISH LINE!
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
I save my bibs also and write the time and date on them. I also have framed the first of each distance and have them proudly displayed on my office bookshelf. I have a 5K, a 10K and HM and will someday put the full right in the place of honor!
TRUST THE TRAINING!
I also save all of my bibs. I have all of them from High School too. I hang them on my wall cause it just looks cool. I write my stats for the event on the back of it. I framed my first marathon's bib with the finisher metal and a picture from the race cause it's something I want to remember for a while! Welcome to the running community!
I have some displayed on the wall in our extra bedroom, with race name, date and time.
The last 2 are just sitting here on my computer desk. Might start just clipping them together and leaving them on the bookshelf.
