I am also in the market for a straight bar road bike.Here are my thoughts

The giant rapid 0 in my opinion is a better bike. The components are better (better wheels,crank,tires,fd derailleurs, shifters, and seat) than the Cannondale quick 2. I think the rapid looks better as well. So for me its hands down Giant Rapid 0 over the Cannondale

quick 2. I also like the Fuji Absolute 1.0  2010 this bike has very good components and disk brakes for about $300 cheaper than the Rapid 0. The Absolute 1.0 is not available in The USA until late February 2010. I would also add the Marin mill valley its more money but its worth a test ride.  Test ride everything and see what feels better.
