Hi everyone,
It's been a long week, working 13 hrs. a day in NYC, so I've been absent from the thread for a bit. Based on what I've been reading, it sounds like everyone is doing well (Penguin get well soon!!) and continues to run, either in races or on their own. Awesome!!
I ran last Sunday in the frigid Northeast, and I was mistaken about my time. My chip time was acutally 45:45, which may not be fast for most, but IT WAS MY BEST TIME SO FAR!! A PR if you will.
I was so happy-I hope that means I'm getting faster. We are running again tomorrow, and it's supposed to be in the 30's, but raining by race time (blah). Can't wait for spring!!!
I ran both Wednesday and Friday, completing OHR week 6, and started week 7, so only a few more weeks to go. After this, it's 10K training for me, so I can gear up for my first on 5/2/10 (yikes!). I would love to eventually do the Irongirl triathalon that Jasmine was talking about, maybe in 2011. I still have to get a bike, and find a place to swim.
I'm heading to Waltham, MA this week for work, so I'm hoping to find some roads/running trails that I can hit after work that are safe, so I can keep running. I just can't run on the TM, I can't get over how much I hate it. I'll check in with everyone on Sunday, after race #2.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!
