Cyndi t, thank you for your questions regarding the ongoing challenges related to Active Community.
I want to take this opportunity to update everyone on our efforts to resolve the issues we have been experiencing since the upgrade of the web site.
Why was the Community upgraded and what is the current status?
The site upgrade at the end of August was a complete replacement of our old community, including migrating to new hardware. This upgrade will allow us to bring new features to the community. The process of creating the new site took about 6 months, including several months of testing. Since this site went live there have been several problems with the hardware, resulting in side affects such as decreased site speed, downtime and login issues resulting in no “reply” buttons.
What are we doing about it?
We began identifying possible sources of the issue immediately following the release. On October 26th we released an updated version of the site onto new hardware to increase performance. While the frequency of the issues has diminished, we are still experiencing problems. Our team is currently addressing this item as our number one priority and we are making steady progress. We are currently testing a patch that we hope to launch in the next day or two. In an effort to bring these fixes to the users as fast as possible it will mean more short maintenance windows. We will make every attempt to communicate these releases in advance to avoid disruption to users. Please watch the announcements on the home page for latest updates.
What can you do when you experience problems?
We are setting up a thread where users can record any login issues they are having. This thread will alert our staff so we can take steps to manually resolve the problem. Our aim is to address the issues faster while we continue working on a solution. (Link is forthcoming)
I thank you all for your patience, and I recognize that this problem is slow to get resolved. I will continue to make updates of the progress of our team of developers. We are working hard to address these issues so you can have a stable community. This stability will allow us to concentrate on introducing the new features we have planned for the community.

Toby,
Is there a reason why the reply buttons keep disappearing and there is a tremendous amount of "system maintenance"? I participate in a very active thread and its getting extremely frustrating to me personally to keep having these issues since the upgrade. I really like the support of the folks on this site but can see people are starting to lose interest in it. What is being done to resolve these upgrade issues?
Thanks,
Cyndit
