    Re: First 5k time...

This thread caught my eye.  Almost 5 years ago, I was working out real regularly and eating well and the whole bit.  So what happened, I do not know.  I am back to starting all over again.  When I started eating better on Dec. 28th I was at 238 lbs.  I finished my first week of C25K on Friday and as of this morning, I weighed 229 lbs.  So here I am, 47 years old, over weight and out of shape as though I have never ran before.  I almost forgot that I had run 3 5K races one fall.  After reading all these posts, I couldn't for the life of me remember my times.  I was thinking around 45 minutes or so.  I decided to see if the run results were still in the history on line and to my amazement they were there on RunMichgian.com  So here are my first 5K results from 2005.

    All Women's 5K 34:59

    Genesys Hospice 5K 36:30

I am only hoping that I can do nearly as well again this year.  I will be checking out the RunMichigan site and looking for some races to join this spring.  I finish my C25K on March 19th and I will need something to work for.
