ADVICE NEEDED: Last Minute Marathon??

Hello-

I read this post WAY more than I write, but I've got a decision that needs to be made in a jiffy. I ran my 7th marathon in Austin on February 18, 2007 (3:42) and just found out about another marathon happening on March 23, 2007 in DC that I'm interested in running. Am I crazy to consider running this second marathon so close to the Austin event? Help!!

Re: ADVICE NEEDED: Last Minute Marathon??
Are you just "running" it, as opposed to racing it and hoping for a better time? If you are just "running" it and aren't expecting a PR, then it is not crazy at all.

If you're fully recovered now and feeling great, go for it - it may
surprise you how well you will do so soon after another. The
National Marathon course seems quite benign. I'm thinking there
will be a good chance it will be warm or even hot!

Re: ADVICE NEEDED: Last Minute Marathon??
I've done two marathons in the same month on two occasions. Neither one resulted in a horrible time, and I came out healthy in both cases. But, be prepared for a long time to recover.
