Floatation Belts

I am a runner who is taking up swimming as a means of cross training.  In addition to swimming, I am looking to do some deep water running in the pool.  Can anyone assist with information on floatation belts for this?

Thanks in advance.

I have a simple Speedo belt that I use occasionally as a break when I go swimming.  You should check to see if your pool already has some before you buy - they often do.

I don't think there's a lot to know.  Your HR will be about 10 bpm lower than running as the water keeps you cooler.  There is more resistance against your legs in the water which kind of makes up for the lack of weight bearing effects in the water. So, there's something that you don't get with other types of running.  It's kind of fun - you can work on your form.  Not sure how well it actually keeps one in running shape overall, but it's better than no running perhaps!
