Feb. 17 Workouts

I ran today, even if nobody else did!  Only 4 miles though, I was a little pressed for time.  Have to get back before the cafeteria closes.

Proud of you, I'm debating whether to or not and if I do, I'll do only 3.  Long one tomorrow!!!

I'm home, sick.  Supposed to do 12 miles today.  I don't think it's happening.

I have missed 5 weeks of workouts!!  UGH!!!  I am thinking about starting back up again tomorrow. I still have a little pain in my side, so I know I need to be gentle with myself.  But, where do I even start????

Ron, I hope you feel better soon. Being sick sucks...especially for us movers and shakers!!

Len and Omi - Nice runs. I'm listening for your sage advice!

    I will run for cupcakes!!

I got my 8 mile tempo run today.  I use the treadmill for that because it helps me keep focused on the pace.  I have a range for my pace according to the charts I looked at so I did the slow end of the pace while the cooking show was on (I <3 Food Network!), then the fast end of the pace for the commercials.  Whew - there are a lot of commercials!  It went real well.  Jen - did they get to the bottom of what was wrong?  I'm glad to hear you are back up and about.

Five recovery miles on the 'mill. I'm on the treadmill for those because I know I'd go too fast on the open road.

Hope you're feeling better soon, Ron.

Ditto, Len!!! I'm one of those very careful people, maybe sometime too careful with my body, but I'd like it to last.  Didn't run today, instead I watched xctry sprinting, just to see how the real skiers do it.  Long one tomorrow, somewhere between 18 and 20.  Does that sound like 19?  We'll see.

4 on the treadmill for me today.  Was supposed to be 6 but it was just so hot and stuffy in the workout room that I couldn't handle it.  Will aim for 6 tomorrow

A geezer's version of Tigger on ice:  surprisingly bouncy legs today over eight miles or so, some areas clear after temps above freezing earlier, others refreezing while I was out, and some still crunchy, some thick, some thin, a few still relatively soft and deep, some muddy, a veritable buffet for the feet!
