Bike Rides in Destin FL area?

I will be going on vacation next Thursday to Destin, FL. I was wondering if there were any cyclists down there that I could either ride with or get some direction on where to ride while there.

I will be in Destin Sunday 6/12 through Sunday 6/19. I plan on contacting Emerald Coast Cyclists about riding with them on their Saturday ride in Niceville north side of Choctawhatchee Bay). If you see this reply and want to get together for a ride during the week, let me know.

I also get a weekly membership at the Destin Athletic Club and take their spin classes every year while I am there.

Bummer. I was in Destin the same week you were, but you replied one day too late. I left on the 9th and didn't have computer access down there. I ended up exploring which was kind of fun. I will keep your tips in mind for the next time I head down there. Thank you for your reply.

Robin's Bikes and Fitness does a ride four days a week. Call ahead to check. He is one mile from Sandestin Resort.

I don't know where Destin Fla. is, but in North Port Fla. there is a cycle group called the Coastal Cruisers and they have a large group that goes out 3 times a week.
They have 3 riding groups and are very nice to ride with.
I am from Pa. and enjoyed teaming up with them on 4 occasions.

I will be in Destin in July of 2006 and would like to rent a decent road bike so I can continue to train while on vacatin. Any ideas about bike shops that rent higher-end road bikes? I will bring my own shoes, etc. Thanks.
