Hey everyone! You guys are so sweet. Today has been a mess of a day- this morning an aggressive driver ran me off the road while on my bike and into a parked car. My friend said he saw the guy swerve at me; I saw the guy flip me off as he drove by and honked. I was as far to the right as I could have been and even if I was in the middle of the road, I have the right to be there. Super scary that people are that aggressive. Thankfully the worst I have are bumps and bruises, but my bike is in the shop and the wreck busted out the parked car's taillight. Since no one got the plate of the aggressive driver I'm taking the hit for the tail light which makes me really angry, but I keep telling myself at least I wasn't hurt. What a month!
Phillip, would your daughter ever consider going (or would you ever let her go) on one of i2P's expeditions? We usually do two a year and it's an incredible intersection of amazing athletic feats, travel, wonderful young adults and some pretty cool expedition leaders (I'm a little biased!)
Dennis, thanks for your kind words! I can't wait to hear about your HIM! I think you're training much more diligently than I am (which doesn't mean too much considering I'm not running!) but it's great to see how people are growing into themselve as athletes!
Becky, thanks for reframing that a half marathon is a feat in and of itself. I'm excited to see another side of "racing." Have a great weekend with your family!
Mike, are you still shooting for MCM? I remember that you were injured. You have so much talent, I can't wait until it's able to fully manifest itself!
Jimmy, I'll come to Hawaii and be your support crew! Jealous! Say hi to Liz and rub the kiddos' heads for me.
Len, I'll be back because I miss you guys (and gals) too
Sara, so you can be pulled out of the woodwork?! You would probably be happy to hear that my tuxedo is tolerating chemo well and super lovey. I'm a lucky girl.
Charlotte, you are always one of my biggest cheerleaders. Thanks so much for your support! I cannot WAIT to hear about Boston! Please send my love to Bill.
MarathonDream, I will do my best to get back to kicking butt. And running marathons
Ron, thanks for the good wishes re: the back and the comps. It's been okay, I just feel like I'm spinning plates and with my coordination you know that has potential for disaster (but I've been keeping them in the air so far!)
You guys and gals rock! I'll try to pop in more often soon!
I do today what you won't, so tomorrow I do what you can't.
